Rwanda Gorilla Trek Extension

Observing gorillas in their natural habitat is one of the most profound wildlife experiences one could have. It is with the greatest

 pleasure to organize and present this incredible extension to your photographic safari in Tanzania. Talk about a finale!

 

 

 Day 1:

Arrive in Kigali

 

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport at approximately 10:20am, you will be met by a representative from our ground operator. You will explore the city of Kigali including a visit to the Genocide Museum and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, drive approximately three hours to the village of Kinigi, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 2:

 Volcanoes National Park

 

6:30am: After an early breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing and the start of your first Gorilla trek. In the afternoon, weather permitting, we have arranged a visit to a beautiful scenic area of the twin lakes, Burera and Ruhondo. Alternatively, if you are in the mood for some local color, a visit to the Musanze local market is fun.

Day 3:

Volcanoes National Park

6:30am: After an early breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for the start of your golden monkey tracking experience. In the afternoon, a visit to the Ellen Degeneres Campus for the Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund  has been arranged for you. This amazing tour is self-guided and interactive.

Day 4:

 Volcanoes National Park - Departure Day

 

6:30am: After an early breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for your second gorilla trekking experience. Following lunch, drive back to Kigalli and afterwards, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
